Early Years Practitioner (Level 2/3)

We are delighted to be recruiting a caring, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our welcoming preschool community. At Great Gransden Preschool Playgroup, we provide a nurturing, play‑based environment where children aged 2–5 can explore, learn and grow.

About the Role

You will work as part of our dedicated team to deliver high‑quality early education and care. As a key person, you will build strong relationships with children and families, support individual learning needs, and help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.

We have 2 roles available 12-18 hours, up to 30 hours. Working between the hours of 8am to 4.15pm Monday to Friday.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS

• Carry out observations and assessments, including the 2‑year progress check

• Support children’s wellbeing, independence and development

• Work with children with SEN/disabilities

• Promote safeguarding and follow all policies and procedures

• Support daily routines, including mealtimes and setup/tidy‑up

• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality

• Participate in team meetings, supervisions and training

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Level 2 Early Years qualification (essential)

• Level 3 qualification (desirable or willingness to work towards it)

• Experience working with young children

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding

• A warm, flexible and positive approach
