Awarded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED

This is extremely important for Playgroup. As a charity the fees pay for the running costs of the building and staff wages only. We rely totally on regular fundraising to pay for equipment that needs renewing. We also need to add and expand the equipment too whenever possible.

Any ideas or suggestions you may have regarding fundraising will be very welcome, please speak to either a member of staff or a committee member – see the notice board. The staff and children very much appreciate the support given from parents/carers.

Our regular fundraising events usually include:

• Social evening (something to help get parents together)

• Easter ‘eggstravaganza’ (held in the Easter holidays a fun event for the children including our Easter egg hunt)

• Children's Sponsored Trike Ride [the children attempt to do laps of our playground on trikes, balance bikes, coupe cars, push a buggy or whichever way they choose - receiving a certificate] for sponsorship from friends & families.

Other regular events that our fundraisers help with are:

• Summer trip (a coach trip to a location nearby for parents/carers & staff – a fun day out! Previous trips have been to the local Olympic gym, Linton zoo and Shepreth wildlife park)

• Summer end of term party

• Christmas concert

• Children’s Christmas party

• Christmas Hamper Raffle
