Cheese straws/shapes

Ingredients

  • 200 g Self Raising flour

  • pinch salt

  • pinch mustard powder

  • 100g Margarine

  • 150g Mature (red) Cheddar, grated

  • 1 medium egg, beaten

Method

  1. Heat oven to 180°C.

  2. Mix together the flour, salt and mustard.

  3. Rub in the margarine.

  4. Stir in the cheese and add sufficient egg to make stiff dough.

  5. Roll out thinly and cut into strips/shapes, or flatten & shape with hands.

  6. Place onto a lined baking tray,

  7. Bake for 10-15 mins.
