We are really happy to be able to re-open and welcome some of our children back into the setting. We have thoroughly read all the guidance provided by the Government, Department of Education and Public Health England and will continue to do so.
Due to following this guidance we are operating a little differently in setting for example keeping numbers low, preventing unnecessary social contact - No visitors until further notice, no students work placements, parents not coming into the settings, re-arranging our environment and introducing enhanced cleaning routines to ensure the safety of our children and staff.
Although it is noted that within early years social distancing is not possible by re-arranging the resources, using out outdoor space as much as possible and limiting numbers it provides some natural social distancing.
Some of our families are choosing to stay home, some with family members in vulnerable groups are following advice for 'self isolation and remain at home, whilst those that wish their children to return to playgroup are doing just that all within the guidance on social distancing.
These are strange times as we all make our way through uncharted waters; here at Great Gransden Playgroup the most important focus for us is the health, safety, happiness and emotional well being of our children and staff.
