We are really happy to be able to be open for the children during these challenging times. Being lucky enought to re-open from the 1st June, where we welcomed some of our children back into the setting. Having thoroughly read and followed the guidance provided by the Government, Department of Education and Public Health England and continuing to do so.
Due to following this guidance we are operating a little differently in setting for example keeping numbers low, preventing unnecessary social contact - No visitors into setting until further notice, maintenance work and new parent visits during 'out of hours' only, no students work placements, parents not coming into the settings - drop off and collection at the door[if you have concerns about the settling of new children please speak to their keyperson], re-arranging our environment and introducing enhanced cleaning routines to ensure the safety of our children and staff.
Although it is noted that within early years social distancing is not possible by re-arranging the resources, using out outdoor space as much as possible and limiting numbers it promotes natural social distancing. As we will be outside as much as possible and we need to ensure extra ventilation through open doors/windows - please ensure your children are dressed appropriately[layers of clothing work best as they can be removed if hot or put back on when cold].
Since the start of our Autumn term we have been able to operate as one big bubble for both children and staff - this does mean that it is VERY important that all our families and staff who are within our extended bubbles closely follow the current Government guideance on coronavirus. This will help us all stay healthy and well and hopefully prevent us from having to close due to positive Covid test results or from close contact with someone with symptoms.
This means it is vital that all of us follow the correct procedures for anyone showing symptoms

Those in vulnerable groups or advised to do so by Gp's/Medical professionals may still be self isolating or remain at home, whilst the rest of us return to playgroup are adapting to our new 'normal' and all the exciting experiences that are still out there to explore.
Further information can be found following the links at the bottom of this page.
These are strange times as we all make our way through uncharted waters; here at Great Gransden Playgroup the most important focus for us is the health, safety, happiness and emotional well being of our children [their families] and staff.
