500g strong flour
2 tsps easy bake yeast
1/2 tsp salt
2-3 tblsp oil
160ml water mixed with 160ml milk – lukewarm
Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
Warm the milk and water and stir into the bowl using a knife.
When the mixture forms a ball put onto a hard oiled surface.
Knead the mixture well for 10 minutes using the oil to keep the dough from sticking too the worktop and your fingers.
After 10 minutes kneading, either shape into an oblong or make into 8 large or 16 small rolls thenplace on a tray lined with baking parchment.
Leave to prove at room temperature for about 45 minutes.
Bake at 190 [fan]
25 minutes – loaf
10-15 minutes – rolls.
